Design information
Judy reconsiders the comprehensive battle between legibility and aesthetic representation in modern type. Inspired by the bureaucracy of highway signage in the United States and building upon decades of history, Judy was first developed as part of a year-long Capstone project examining the efficacy of legibility testing on digital letterforms. After months of sketching and extensive research, Judy was first developed digitally in October 2023, being further improved on for six months and having its first public release in May 2024.Download ↗
